The large picture of the Crucifixion in the south aisle of Saint Edward’s Church was the work of the Flemish painter Gaspar de Craeyer, who flourished around 1610. The picture was given to the church in 1875 by Joseph Chamberlayne of Maugersbury Manor, Stow on the Wold.
