Picture of Degannwy Castle Ruins

There are few remains to be seen of the medieval castle of Degannwy. However it is worth the climb to the top of the hill for the views alone. Cadw the Welsh Heritage Organisation has recently - 2011 - done works to preserve what little remains of the original structure. Our picture shows the footings to the north facing walls located at the summit of the Vardre hill.
