In 2009 plans were passed for Eirias Park Stadium to be boosted to a 3,000 seater stadium, with room for 3,000 more standing. The Colwyn Bay Athletic Club has operated from Eirias Park Stadium for many years. The North Wales Rugby team , RGC 1404, also known as the Gogs or Rebels, plays at Eirias Park. There is also talk of a conference centre to be built close by.
