Welsh Poppies (Meconopsis cambrica) growing in Lledr Valley, North Wales, June 2010; orange poppies. The picture was taken in the garden of Dolmurgoch Cottage. It was a very dry winter, spring and early summer and the poppies sit against a backdrop of dryed out mosses on the stone wall. The mosses would more usually be a bright emerald green.
