The Menai Straits is a beautiful stretch of tidal water about 16 miles long, which separates the island of Anglesey from the mainland of Wales. It stretches from Abermenai Point in the west to the Lavan Sands in the east. The strait is famously crossed by two bridges, the Menai Suspension Bridge and the Britannia Bridge. To appreciate the Strait take a walk along the Anglesey coastal path.
