Picture of Penmon Cross

The Penmon Cross in Penmon Priory, Anglesey, Wales. This 10th Century cross and a second cross are evidence of the monastery founded by St Seiriol in the 6th Century. This is the smaller of the two crosses and it is thought that it would have originally been erected at the gateway to the monastic enclosure. It can now be found in the south transept of the church.
